LodgePAC

LodgePAC, the political action committee of the Oregon Lodging Association, provides the foundation for political contributions to candidates for the Oregon legislature. As an active member of the Oregon Lodging Association, you understand how important it is to have a well funded political action committee. These contributions ensure that our business priorities and legislative issues are effectively communicated to legislators running for re-election and to new candidates entering into the political arena for the first time.

Contributions

Oregon State law allows every person to deduct a $50 direct tax credit for political contributions (or $100 for couples). Personal contributions by credit card or check made payable to LodgePAC should be sent to OLA, 8600 SW Salish Lane, Suite 3, Wilsonville, OR 97070. If you made a personal contribution to LodgePAC prior to year end, take advantage of the tax credit when you do your personal income taxes. This important contribution costs you virtually nothing.

Oregon State law allows corporations to make PAC contributions without a dollar limit. OLA encourages members to contribute $2 per room (minimum $100). Suggested contributions are included in every member's annual dues statement. If you haven’t made your business contribution, please consider making this contribution as well.

PAC Events

Another way to support the political action committee is by participating in PAC fundraising events. OLA annually holds a Scramble Golf Tournament where proceeds go to both OLA and Tri-County Lodging Association PACs. OLA hosts online auctions twice a year with proceeds benefitting the PAC and you are encouraged to donate a package. 

HotelPAC

HotelPAC is AH&LA's voluntary, nonprofit, bipartisan political action committee that exists to help elect qualified individuals who recognize the importance of the lodging industry. The ultimate goal of this effort is to provide a favorable business climate in which the lodging industry can prosper.
